80% Gibraltar Chocolate Bar
Gibraltar is a small town in the Sucre municipality, located in the south-east of the state of Zulia, Venezuela. Founded in 1592 during the Spanish colonial period, it was the most important port serving the city of Mérida and a major center for the export of cocoa produced in the area.
Its geographic location on the shores of Lake Maracaibo plays a fundamental role in the characteristic flavor profile of Gibraltar cocoa beans. This area is home to a remarkable diversity of Criollo cocoa varieties, which contribute to the uniqueness and complexity of the beans grown here.
Gibraltar cocoa is rare and highly prized, allowing for the creation of an extraordinary chocolate. This bar reveals distinctive notes of yellow fruits and citrus, caramel, tobacco, and nuts, reflecting the exceptional climate of the region south of Lake Maracaibo.
