The municipality of Cuyagua is located on the north-central coast of Venezuela, in the state of Aragua, along the same coastal strip where Ocumare de la Costa, Chuao, and Choroní are found. Nestled in a valley crossed by the Cuyagua River, the town boasts a three-hundred-year tradition of cocoa cultivation that involves the entire local community.

Like many coastal towns in Venezuela, Cuyagua has a rich history, culture, and deeply rooted traditions. However, cocoa represents the true essence of the village and its main economic activity, giving rise to some of the rarest and most unique cocoa in the world.

Cocoa from the Cuyagua plantations expresses a high aromatic potential thanks to its Criollo origin. The flavor profile is intense and decisive, complex and persistent, with notes of forest fruits, cherry, and Brazil nut, accompanied by a distinctive acidity that enhances its elegance.
